Incident update

As an update to the incident last week at Regatta Point you may like to know that:

  • the female involved in the ‘Aggravated Burglary’ is unharmed and that the police have good forensic evidence and some CCTV footage of the intruder
  • we have been informed by our Community Police Officer (PC Angela Mirzai) that we currently have good security however, we have had another bike stolen (unrelated to this incident) so we are investigating further measures

We would like to remind all residents that we are all responsible for ensuring the best level of security and that we need to be vigilant by:

  • not allowing tailgating through the garage doors by pausing  in the car park to wait until the gates close behind them, helping to ensure that no other cars, cyclists or pedestrians follow through  and, if you feel safe to do so,  to challenge anyone that comes into the car park by this means
  • similarly, challenging anyone that tries to come in behind you through the front doors without being buzzed in
  • to ensure that the east and west fire door emergency exits do close properly behind them.
