Swing low, sweet chariot

After much empirical research involving trademans’ vans and broken strip lights it has become clear that the ceiling of the underground car park at the western end of the building is lower than the eastern end by 10cm.

Therefore, we are fitting a swing warning bar at the western end just to remind any driver that the clearance is 1.8m

We hope this will prevent further accidental damage in the future.

Windows Update

The windows project was discussed at the Annual Residents Briefing, held on December the 11th in the upper lobby of Regatta Point. Residents were bought up to date with the project and discussions held with attendees, Directors and representative from Orrins – the windows installers.  Just prior to the meeting one of our Owners, Paula Bowman, submitted a letter objecting to the project which she asked to be made public.

A copy of this letter and the Directors reply and be found via he following link and as a hard copy in the file located on the coffee table in the lower lobby.

Annual Residents’ Briefing Slides

On the 11th of December the Directors held the Annual Residents’ Briefing in the upper lobby of Regatta Point.  There was a very good turn out of nearly 30 people, HML Shaw were represented by Irwin Alvisse and representatives of Orrins (the installers for the new roadside windows) were also there to answer questions and demonstrate the new windows design.

Thanks to all who attended and for providing the Directors with your thoughts and advice and all the matters we discussed.

Attached are a copy of the slides we discussed at the meeting

Fireworks for New Year

Just a quick note to say the Directors hope you had a very Merry Christmas and we’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year as well.

We’d also like to let you know that one of our residents, Deepankar Nayak, has been given permission to set off a few fireworks from the lawns of Regatta Point at around midnight – so there will be some noise.

Deepankar and his family would like to extend an invitation to any resident at Regatta Point that would like to join them to welcome in the New Year.

Wishing you all a very prosperous 2019,

The Directors – RPFL

Tree Collection & Hounslow Christmas Information

We would like to offer to all Residents our own tree collection service (for the real ones not the plastic) so that we hope we can make your lives a little easier over the festive period.

From the 1st of January if you place your trees in car park space 10 we will have them collected on the 3rd of January by Gavin Jones – our gardeners – which is a service we have built in to the contract.  Do not place any trees in the bin rooms unless you have arranged for the council to collect them.

Additionally, the Directors thought it might be useful to share some information that is available from Hounslow Matters which is a rather useful website provided by the council.  It covers advice on tree and rubbish collection over the Christmas period as well as other stuff.
