Ho Ho Ho

The Directors of Regatta Point would like to express the heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mo Bowyer who has suggested that we add a second Christmas tree inside the building, in the lower lobby, so as to bring the feeling of Yuletide in to the heart of RP.  The gratitude stems from Mo volunteering to sort this all out herself!!

However, we would be remiss if we didn’t ask all other residents to help Mo decorate the tree from 11am  on Friday the 5th of December.  So if you are available, please come along and help out (tall people are particularly welcome) as you will all be very welcome.

Disruption from Bugler development of Autobar House

It has become apparent over the last few weeks that Bugler, the developers of Autobar House, are causing significant disruption to residents at Regatta Point.

Not only did they erect a crane without permission but they have also:

  • been working beyond the agreed hours generating unwanted noise and lighting,
  • blocking access from the western fire exit,
  • restricting access to the bins for residents and council alike
  • damaging the footpath.

All of these disruptions are occurring on a regular basis.

The Directors are taking up these matters directly with Bugler but it is vital that we document our issues.  In that spirit could resident who are impacted please make a note of the time and date and issue and take photographs if possible.

They details should be reported on a complaints form which is obtainable from Hounslow Council Officer Marilyn Smith – Head of Development Management and Enforcement at the Department of Regeneration, Economic Development and Regeneration.  020 8583 4994

Please inform Neil, our Caretaker.

Larger development at Thames Water

Hopefully you have all received notification that, in what is a common approach from developers, St James have submitted an amendment to the planning application regarding the three tower blocks that are to be build on the Thames Water site opposite the front door of Regatta Point (one, at 7 stories, is as tall as Regatta Point).

The Phase II application amendment asks to add 15 new homes to the 76 already approved.

Public exhibitions will take place in the Babcock Boiler Room at the Steam Museum on Thursday the 20th of November (3pm to 7pm) and Saturday the 22nd of November (10am to 1pm).

Save the date for the Residents’ Briefing

Please make a note in your diary that the annual Residents’ Briefing, where Regatta Point Freehold Limited directors give a short presentation of the year that has gone and the year that is yet to come, will take place on Tuesday the 16th of December at 8pm in the lobby.  This will be followed by refreshments (no doubt mince pies will be involved).

Please take this opportunity to meet the directors and follow residents to raise issues and get up to speed on what is happening at Regatta Point.
