Summer BBQ

Well, despite the terrible weather during the day the skies cleared at 6pm for the annual Regatta Point BBQ.  This year’s theme was “construction” and that meant  there was a Best Dressed Hi-Viz jacket competition as well as a Pudding Competition that required chefs to reflect the theme.

The Social Committee worked hard to set up all the BBQs and the marquees along the pier, plus the usual flags. tables drinks and posters inside.

Autobar House Redevelopment

Nottingham Hill Housing would like to inform us of the redevelopment of the Auto Bar House site (41-42 Kew Bridge Road)

They are proposing 38 high-quality new homes over two buildings which they say will much improve this neglected site.

They are currently in the planning stages and would like our views before they submit planning application in autumn.

St James Development on Thames Water site opposite

As some of you may be aware following it’s decommission, St James acquired the former Thames Water site opposite to build a new development. (Details Here)

The first phase of the development is selling well however in order to market the development better they have recently submitted a planning application for a temporary Marketing Suite which they have asked to share with the Regatta Point Residents Association.

Copies of the proposed plans and letter have been posed on notice boards in the building and if you require more information please contact Jennifer Pointing by email or on 0208 349 6200.
