LOCKDOWN 2

As you will all, no doubt, be aware, the Government has passed legislation for a second lockdown to help prevent the spread of CoVid19.

Consequently, and with immediate effect, the Guest Rooms are no longer available for hire. The Sauna will remain closed and the sanitising units will be continued to be supplied at key doorways into Regatta Point.

Unlike the first lockdown, we are going to maintain a Caretaker on site thanks to sanitising routine and social distancing measures that have been implemented.

We will also continue to allow the gym to be used but only one household at a time and you must sanitise the equipment.

We also ask that use of the lift is restricted to one household at a time.

Hopefully, these measures will allow us all to be safe whilst providing minimal facilities to residents.

OFF YOUR TROLLEYS

For many years we have received complaints that the trolleys provided in the lobby, whilst vital to all our residents, are not the nicest things to looks at. Well, we have finally found some nice looking trolleys and two have now come into service.

There are two versions – a double shelf (which has been selected as the best design to transport grocery shopping) and a single shelf (which is best for larger objects).

As is the way with self assembly – a part is missing from the single shelf trolley which means we cannot attach the cage it came with. So, for now, it is without.

We have not disposed of the old trolleys, and will not, until we are sure the new ones are fit for purpose. So please, try them out, and let our Caretaker, Michael, know what you think of our new additions.

Lobby WiFi trial

We have recently re-configured our Caretaker’s WiFi router so that the internet can be accessed for free by anyone WiFi enabled within range of the lobby in Regatta Point.

So, from now on ,anyone can have access to RegattaWiFi using the password BrilliantBrentford

These details are repeated in a sign on the lobby coffee table.

1st August Guest Room Re-Opening

We are pleased to announce that having reviewed the current easing of lockdown and hotels re-opening, we feel able to offer the guest rooms for hire with effect from August 1st 2020.   

There will be some added procedures in order to try and ensure everyone’s safety. (Residents, Guest & Caretaker) 

  1. After each booking the guest room will remain empty for 72 hours.  There will be no exceptions to this.   
  1. The rooms will be cleaned and the bathrooms thoroughly disinfected. 
  1. We are removing the toilet brushes and will be using disposable toilet brush pads . 

Covid -19 Questionnaire

A Covid-19 Questionnaire will need to be completed either by the guest or completed on behalf of the guest having checked the answers with their guest.   If the answer is YES to any of the questions, we would request that your guest does not occupy any of our guest rooms until they have had advice from their medical practitioner. 

Should your guest subsequently be tested positive within 14 days of leaving to room, you must let us know.  

This new procedure will remain in place for the foreseeable future and trust you understand why we are putting them in place.  The guest rooms are a great facility and we want to ensure everyone’s safety as best we can.
