Residents’ Briefing Summary
Thank you to all those who attended the Annual Residents’ Briefing on the 13th of December. It was a great opportunity for the Directors to get some feedback and for ideas to be exchanged.
The main actions that were noted are:
- The window design needs to be kept simple and the vertical design is preferred
- The windows project as a whole needs to keep a tight rein on costs
- Can we explore the costs of improving the ventilation in the gym refurbishment
- Can we explore the idea of a small fridge and/or tea making facilities in the guest rooms

New Guest Room Booking Policy
We have been listening to residents’ feedback about the cancellation policy for the guest rooms and the views of our caretaker regarding the administration of the service. As a result we are changing the policy to make it fairer, easier for Oscar and to reflect the administrative costs of a cancellation.
With immediate effect, and applying to existing bookings:
- Reservations (note, not payment) of up to 14 consecutive nights should be made with the caretaker. More than 14 nights requires Directors approval and may involve additional conditions.
- Payment must be made in full (no cash) one week before the reservation or immediately if it is less than a week before the required date.
- There will be a fee of £20 for any cancellation made within the week prior to the required date including instances where there is less than a week before the required date.
- Oscar, our Caretaker, must be contacted to discuss all arrangements.
