Party Planning

One of the best things that happens at Regatta Point is the annual BBQ where all residents and friends have the chance to meet up for a proper chat instead of rushing by in the corridor as per usual.  We decorate the hallway, set up BBQs on the pier for everyone to use and get the party music blaring.

However, parties don’t organise themselves so there’s a kick-off meeting next week in order to agree ideas etc. – and no doubt, down a few drinks.  So, if you are interested please email social@regattapoint.co.uk to find out more.

It’s a great way to meet people and you will be made very welcome.

Annual Summer BBQ celebrates Alice in Wonderland

Who would believe it – it’s 150 years since Alice in Wonderland was published.  To celebrate this occasion we are dedicating this year’s Summer BBQ to Alice and all of Wonderland.

The BBQ will take place on the pier and start at 6pm on Saturday the 25th of July.  It’s usually a very busy affair with plenty of people attending.  All residents, past and present plus the friends and relatives are invited.

Bring your own food – we supply a welcome drink, plates, cutlery, napkins, somewhere to chill your drinks, relish and, of course, the BBQs.

There’s a bottle of champagne to win for the best Alice in Wonderland costume and another bottle on offer the the hotly contested Pudding Competition – this year’s theme being Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Any questions – talk to Neil or email social@regattapoint.co.uk

See you there!

Date for the diary

Yes it’s that time of year again – the Annual Regatta point BBQ is fast approaching.

We are still deciding what to do as a theme and all the other stuff – but in the meantime please make a note of the date.  Saturday the 25th of July from 6pm.

More details to follow, and if you want to get involved please email george.cross@northkew.co.uk

Ho Ho Ho

The Directors of Regatta Point would like to express the heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mo Bowyer who has suggested that we add a second Christmas tree inside the building, in the lower lobby, so as to bring the feeling of Yuletide in to the heart of RP.  The gratitude stems from Mo volunteering to sort this all out herself!!

However, we would be remiss if we didn’t ask all other residents to help Mo decorate the tree from 11am  on Friday the 5th of December.  So if you are available, please come along and help out (tall people are particularly welcome) as you will all be very welcome.
