Regatta Point Barbecues

With the summer finally here, the BBQ season is also here. We have two BBQ’s available for Residents use. (Both need you to provide your own coals and clean the BBQ after use).

In order to book them please speak to the Caretaker and check their availability. If available, you will need to arrange with the caretaker to get them from their store cupboard prior to the caretaker going home. Please note currently that is 1pm every day. Should you book BBQ’s for the weekend please ensure that you get the BBQ on the Friday.

If you’re using one or both on the Saturday, please clean the next morning when the coals are cold, so that they can still be available for use on the Sunday by others. The caretaker will put them away on Monday (or the next working day) .

Please ensure that you do clean up the gardens after use and put any food waste in the bins in the recycling rooms. Do not leave in the garden or the garden bins as that attracts animals.

Finally, a reminder that the use of any sort of barbecue on the buildings wooden balconies is strictly forbidden.

Thanks and enjoy the summer

Parcel theft from lobby

Last Friday 26th of April, at around 21:30, we again had an intruder enter the building and take residents parcels from the lobby.

It appears he was let in via the entry phone system, and took 3 or 4 parcels. If you believe you are missing a parcel as a result of this please let the caretaker know, and report the theft on the Metropolitan Police website where you will receive a crime number.

As a further reminder – leaving parcels in the foyer is not safe. If you are not on hand to take delivery then you should make an alternative arrangement i.e. ask a neighbour to take delivery or use one of the nearby lockers or delivery points.

If you do have a parcel left in the foyer you should collect it as soon as possible.

Please do not open the front door to anyone you don’t know, including anyone who claims to be a courier or delivering food – go down to the front door and collect the parcel if it is for you.

Please also be aware of anyone attempting to follow you in through the front door.

Rat traps in the garden

If you are the person setting traps in the garden then please desist. They are a danger to children and other animals and a hazard to the gardeners, who are not best pleased at having to remove them. You are also in contravention of the terms of your lease.

Mark’s hours over the Christmas period will be:
