Windows bills due

This is a note to remind owners that full payment is now due for the windows project and that prompt payment is appreciated.

The Directors felt it would be good to re-cap and remind everyone of the benefits of this long-running project.

1). This project will deliver new windows to a much higher specification than the current design which will significantly improve sound and heat insulation (which is timely with a new stadium and Heathrow expansion).

2). The new design provides greater safety when open, especially when cleaning, as the gap formed when open is smaller whilst still allowing them to be cleaned from the inside.

3). Maintenance – although the new windows will have a much longer life than the current ones, their design allows easier maintenance should problems occur.

The Directors have discussed, at length, the different design and material options available to us and are confident that the side opening, vertical split casement window made of white powder coated aluminium is the best to satisfy our needs.

We are always available to discuss your concerns at directors@regattapoint.co.uk but we ask now that bills are paid so that we can start the next exciting stage of the installation – targeted for this summer.

Many thabks for your support,

The Directors – RPFL

Windows Update

The windows project was discussed at the Annual Residents Briefing, held on December the 11th in the upper lobby of Regatta Point. Residents were bought up to date with the project and discussions held with attendees, Directors and representative from Orrins – the windows installers.  Just prior to the meeting one of our Owners, Paula Bowman, submitted a letter objecting to the project which she asked to be made public.

A copy of this letter and the Directors reply and be found via he following link and as a hard copy in the file located on the coffee table in the lower lobby.

Annual Residents’ Briefing Slides

On the 11th of December the Directors held the Annual Residents’ Briefing in the upper lobby of Regatta Point.  There was a very good turn out of nearly 30 people, HML Shaw were represented by Irwin Alvisse and representatives of Orrins (the installers for the new roadside windows) were also there to answer questions and demonstrate the new windows design.

Thanks to all who attended and for providing the Directors with your thoughts and advice and all the matters we discussed.

Attached are a copy of the slides we discussed at the meeting

Annual Residents Briefing & 20th Birthday Party

An invitation to all residents and owners at Regatta Point – come and help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the building of Regatta Point with some bubbles and canapes.

Following the Annual Residents Briefing on Tuesday the 11th of December, which is now starting at 7pm in the lobby, we will be offering drinks and canapes to all.  Please join us if you can – and let our Caretaker Michael know that you are interested, so as to help plan numbers.

We will still be discussing the serious stuff at the briefing about updates for this year and financials and in addition we hope to have an update on the windows project, a model window and representatives from the installers are going to attend.

We look forwards to seeing you there.
