Sanitiser Safe

As part of our response to CoVid-19 we have trialled the use of making hand sanitiser available to residents and visitors at the main entrance. This has proven so successful that we have decided to extend the availability.

Consequently, there is now an free-standing sanitiser at the entrance to the pier in addition to front door.

Additionally, a wall mounted sanitiser will be placed in each of the corridors that lead to the car park.

We hope that these will help make your life a little easier and safer.

1st August Guest Room Re-Opening

We are pleased to announce that having reviewed the current easing of lockdown and hotels re-opening, we feel able to offer the guest rooms for hire with effect from August 1st 2020.

There will be some added procedures in order to try and ensure everyone’s safety. (Residents, Guest & Caretaker)

  1. After each booking the guest room will remain empty for 72 hours.  There will be no exceptions to this.
  1. The rooms will be cleaned and the bathrooms thoroughly disinfected.
  1. We are removing the toilet brushes and will be using disposable toilet brush pads .

Covid -19 Questionnaire

A Covid-19 Questionnaire will need to be completed either by the guest or completed on behalf of the guest having checked the answers with their guest.   If the answer is YES to any of the questions, we would request that your guest does not occupy any of our guest rooms until they have had advice from their medical practitioner.

Should your guest subsequently be tested positive within 14 days of leaving to room, you must let us know.

This new procedure will remain in place for the foreseeable future and trust you understand why we are putting them in place.  The guest rooms are a great facility and we want to ensure everyone’s safety as best we can.

Please note – residents and guests book these rooms at their own risk.

Bikes, Boxes and BBQs (and Parking)

A few seasonal reminders and a couple of updates about!

BBQs on the balconies are strictly forbidden (obvious fire risk at the balconies are wood AND its inconsiderate to neighbours).

We will be buying new ‘proper” BBQs for use on the lawn areas – available via the caretaker once we have bought them. NB:Don’t use disposable BBQs on the lawns as they burn the grass.

Bike theft and beggars are back in the area. PLEASE don’t allow tailgating at the pedestrian doors and at the garage gates PLEASE wait a few seconds when entering or leaving the car park to check no one is slipping in behind you/ tailgating.

Boxes: Cardboard boxes should be collapsed before placing in the recycling bin – its simple courtesy to all the other users. And PLEASE empty them – food waste, plastic bubble wrap//plastic bags and bits of metal are NOT CARDBOARD. Our Councillor tells us being Inconsiderate is NOT being Eco Friendly.

Parking: The NO PARKING signs are being replaced outside our garage entrance. Note: We are advised the parking wardens (officially the council calls them CEOs) are starting back on more frequent patrol.

Michael our caretaker is back. Remember Social Distancing!

We are pleased to welcome Michael back today.

A reminder that its NOT business as usual with the sauna area and guest rooms closed.

Please maintain social distancing with Michael and note that no one is allowed in his office when he is in there. Conversations should take place at a safe distance – for example in the lobby.

New Director

It is with much pleasure that we are able to announce that Alan Kohn is joining the Board of Regatta Point (Freehold) Limited as a Director.

Since just before Stephanie Henderson-Brown retired, the existing Directors have been looking to recruit a new Board member to share the workload and plan for succession.

The issue was raised at the Annual Residents’ Meeting and was accompanied by emails and pigeonhole drops. This campaign successfully garnered interest from Owners and Residents alike.

Please join us in welcoming Alan on board but, please be gentle with him, as he’s only just started!
