Theft of Parcels from Lobby – Update

It now appears that the thief did not gain access using the door code – he simply kept calling different flats claiming that he was making a delivery until someone let him in. This was around 9:30 in the evening.

This has happened again on two evenings since, but on these occasions whoever it was did not get access.

If someone calls your entry phone asking to be let into the building it is important that, whatever they say, you do not let them in unless you know who they are. If they claim to have a delivery for you, ask them for the name the on parcel. Otherwise, please go down to the front entrance door to receive it.

Intruders in Car Park

On Thursday four youth attempting to steal bicycles were chased out of the car park by Mark (well done him). CCTV shows that they followed a black convertible BMW into the car park before the gates closed after it.

Unfortunately this is not the first time that this has happened. When entering or leaving the car park please be aware of anyone hanging around near the entrance, and wait for the gates to close before continuing.

Theft of Parcels from Lobby

On 10th January someone arrived at the front door of the building on a bicycle, appeared to enter the code on the door entry system, and proceeded to steal ALL of the parcels left in the lobby.

The entry code has now been changed.

Please be aware that leaving parcels in the lobby is not safe. If you are not on hand to take delivery then you should make an alternative arrangement i.e. ask a neighbour to take delivery or use one of the nearby lockers or delivery points.

Please do not open the front door to anyone you don’t know, including anyone who claims to be a courier or delivering food – go down to the front door and collect the parcel if it is for you.

Finally, please do not ask Mark for the new code as he is instructed not to give it to anyone.

Residents Briefing Updates

Following the Residents briefing in December, this is to provide an update on various items discussed.

Residents WhatsApp Group
This is now live. Please make use of it to enquire about spare car spaces, report security concerns etc. See earlier post for details on how to join.

Change to Gym Opening Hours
The Gym opening hours have been amended. It will now close at 9:00pm – please do not use it after this time.

Guest Room Fees
Did you know that Regatta Point has two guest rooms that are available for hire to any Regatta Point resident?  They are large rooms containing a double bed, TV/DVD and en-suite shower facilities.
Must be booked and paid for in advance.
Non-smoking and freshly laundered on each booking.
Located next to lift A and D on the first floor.

The Guest Room fee has been increased from £40 to £45 per night.

Pet licences
No further licenses for dogs will be issued. It is evident that the building is not a suitable place to keep them.

General Reminders

Car parking.
The car park continues to be abused by a minority of residents. Please only park in your demised space, unless you have consent from the owner to use another one.
The subletting of car spaces to non residents is forbidden by your lease.

Trollies
Please don’t abandon these in the corridors, this is inconsiderate and inconvenient for other residents. They should be put back in the lobby area where you (hopefully) found them.
