External Decorations Start Date

We are pleased to announce that the repairs and redecorations to the river side elevation are scheduled to start on 11th April, and take 8 weeks to complete. The works will comprise the replacement of any rotten decking, joists and trellis/fencing, re-sealing of the decking and decoration of flaky or rusting paintwork. It will be carried out by DMC & Son of Greenford.

The building will not be scaffolded as we have tried to limit the amount of work to what is essential, and so access will be needed through your flat to carry out the works – further details will follow nearer the time.

Car Park Bicycle Clear out

Over the next 3 months we will be undertaking a clear out of the old bicycles from the car park.  This is in preparation for building a bicycle storage area.

We will be attaching a form to each bicycle requiring you to identify the flat in which you live, contact details, and your desire to keep the bicycle in the car park.   You should then take this form to Mark, the caretaker.  Your bike will then be tagged with a unique identifier.

Any bikes not claimed within 3 months (i.e. by 20th April 2023) will be removed and disposed of directly after that date.

Theft of Parcels from Lobby – Update

It now appears that the thief did not gain access using the door code – he simply kept calling different flats claiming that he was making a delivery until someone let him in. This was around 9:30 in the evening.

This has happened again on two evenings since, but on these occasions whoever it was did not get access.

If someone calls your entry phone asking to be let into the building it is important that, whatever they say, you do not let them in unless you know who they are. If they claim to have a delivery for you, ask them for the name the on parcel. Otherwise, please go down to the front entrance door to receive it.

Intruders in Car Park

On Thursday four youth attempting to steal bicycles were chased out of the car park by Mark (well done him). CCTV shows that they followed a black convertible BMW into the car park before the gates closed after it.

Unfortunately this is not the first time that this has happened. When entering or leaving the car park please be aware of anyone hanging around near the entrance, and wait for the gates to close before continuing.
