Caretaker Christmas Holidays

Mark the Caretaker will be on leave as follows:
Thursday 16th December – Tuesday 21st December inclusive.

HML Shaw office hours

HML Shaws Christmas working hours are as follows:
24th December: 9:00am – 1:00pm
29th & 30th December: 10:00am – 4:00pm
31st December: 9:00am – 1:00pm
4th January onwards: Normal working hours resume

Emergency Contact Number

An out of hours telephone service for emergencies is available between 17.30 – 09.00 Monday to Friday, 24hrs Weekends and Bank Holidays. Should you need to contact them in the event of an emergency the number is:

Please note that they will not deal with any problems inside your flat, only in the common areas.

Reminder – Residents Annual Briefing 14th December 7:00pm

A reminder that the Annual Residents’ Briefing will be held on Tuesday the 14th of December starting at 7pm in the lobby. We will be offering a drink and canapes to all.  Please join us if you can – a couple of points to note:

  • If you are planning to attend please let us know your flat number and number of attendees on directors@regattapoint.co.uk by COB on Friday, in order that we can get the ‘catering’ right.
  • Out of consideration to your fellow residents please only attend if you are fully vaccinated, and take a free lateral flow test beforehand.
  •  If you wish a particular subject to be covered please email us at directors@regattapoint.co.uk in advance, so that we can prepare.

ANNUAL RESIDENTS BRIEFING

The Annual Residents’ Briefing will be on Tuesday the 14th of December starting at 7pm in the lobby. We will be offering a drink and canapes to all.  Please join us if you can – and let our Caretaker Michael know that you are interested, so as to help plan numbers.

We will be reviewing events and financials for the past year and will then take a look ahead to what may be taking place in the next year.

The Directors – Regatta Point Freehold Limited.

Directors’ Meeting 14th September 2021

The Directors of Regatta Point Freehold Limited met for a regular meeting to discuss various matters arising in the running of the building.  They were joined by Leah Weeks from HML Group

The following are highlights of the discussions:

  • With detailed analysis of previous expenditure and market movements provided by Leah Weeks from HML Group, the Directors carried out a line by line review of the budget proposal for the 21/22 financial year. Whilst many items are stable, and some have decreased, the overall budget will increase for the next year.  Details will be provided when the Service Charge Bills are issued in the next few weeks.
  • Leah Weeks informed the group that a new building manager, Darren Speck will replace Yasmin from the 15th of September and that a new management system, Dwellant, is operational and it should improve the reporting, transparency and reduce errors across all the accounts. 
  • It was agreed that Owners will be asked to supply email details for contact information in order to reduce the amount of paper being used and to speed up delivery of formal letters.
  • It was noted that the lobby refurbishment was now complete.
  • Ranvir Kalra resigned as Director, with immediate effect.

The other recently appointed Directors (David Brown, Fran Black & Alan Kohn) confirmed that they are satisfied with the handover from the other long-term Directors (George Cross, Hilary Oliver & Ian Coates), which will allow them to formally resign at the end of September.
