Fire escape steps being painted 20th and 21st June

The metal fire escape steps near the bin rooms will be receiving 2 new coats of (silver) paint over the next 2 days. The work is needed because the steps are frequently used and the existing paint has worn through allowing rust to reappear.

Please avoid using the steps whilst the “wet paint” signs are displayed. The fire exit doors will remain operational to maintain the escape route but obviously will be leading onto wet paint.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Lifts A and B operational again with new flooring. Lift D tomorrow.

Lifts A and B are operational again but the adhesive needs to fully cure over night – so please no heavy movements (builders etc) until tomorrow (Thursday 20th June).

Lift D will have its flooring done tomorrow morning but be out of action until late afternoon – again this is to allow the adhesive to cure. Please don’t make heavy movements (builders etc) in lift D until Friday (21st June).

Disappointingly a resident switched on and operated lift A whilst it was out of service. Please leave this type of operation to authorised persons.

Windows measurements

As part of the next steps in the windows replacement project, having successfully piloted the first replacements, we are now looking to have access to as many flats as possible to measure the windows precisely. Could you please email WebAdmin@RegattaPoint.co.uk if you are able to give access to our fitters next weeks – so that they can measure a large sample of the windows to be replaced (i.e. only flats that have roadside windows). Please give details of your flat number and dates and time when access would be possible.

Ideally, we want a cross-section of flats (penthouse, standard, with shutters with secondary glazing etc) so the more the merrier.

Caretaker cover

This note is to let all resident know that our Caretaker Michael Mitsinger is on holiday for two weeks from today – returning on Monday the 24th of June. We hope has has a very nice break away from us all and, in the meantime, we have reduced (8 till 1) cover provided by Luigi Ciortan

The Directors – Regatta Point

I want to ride my bicycle…

Following on from the attempted bicycle theft last week we have decided to carry out one of our irregular clear-outs of the bike storage at Regatta Point. Consequently, we have put a sign on each of the bicycles warning that unless the owner comes forward to acknowledge ownership we will be removing and disposing of all unclaimed bikes.

Hence, if you are storing a bike on one of the rails outside please let our caretaker know so that we do not dispose of it. You have until the end of June to do this.

All unclaimed bikes will be disposed of. The Directors are reviewing the entire bike storage facility (should we still offer the facility, how can we improve it etc) and would welcome any comments or feedback at WebAdmin@RegattaPoint.co.uk
