OSCAR LEAVING

It is with much regret that we have to announce that Oscar Rivera has decided to leave his position as caretaker at Regatta Point, in order to pursue other career options.

Oscar has been with us for nearly 18 months and in that time has, quite literally, brought a new broom to the building.  Standards improved a lot as soon as he arrived and he has proven popular all round. His attention to detail and striving to make improvements will be greatly missed by Residents and Directors alike.

We are sure that you will joining us in wishing Oscar all the best in his future outside of RP.

Oscar’s last day will be Friday the 30th of June.

Gym closed

At long last, work will commence on the gym to install glass panels to the roadside-corridor in order to let in some natural light.  This upgrade is a result of improvements requested from a user survey we conducted asking for suggestions.

At the same time the gym will have the far end wall removed, in order to create a little more space, and it will be re-painted.

Consequently, the gym is going to be closed from Monday the 22nd of May for a period of two weeks whilst the work takes place.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please let us know of any other ideas you have to improve things at Regatta Point by via email at directors@regattapoint.co.uk

or, if you see something broken that needs fixing, use the fix-it form Fix-It Form

alternatively,  email the caretaker directly at caretaker@regattapoint.co.uk

Directors’ Meeting

Directors’ Meeting 1st March 2017

The Directors of Regatta Point Freehold Limited met for a regular meeting to discuss various matters arising in the running of the building.  The following are highlights of the discussions:

  • After many years of service to Regatta Point our account manager, Lyndsey Ridgers, will be moving to a different role at HML Shaws. She is to be replaced by Irwin Alvisse, who was introduced to all the Directors at the meeting.
  • Due to few renters returning communal keys and car park clickers our stocks have run out. We are struggling to find replacements.  In order to encourage the return of keys and clickers the deposit is to be increased to £100 with immediate effect.
  • Windows project is progressing with surveyor investigating suppliers.
  • Gym refreshment to progress as soon as possible.
  • New Fire Risks assessment to be commissioned.
  • Following on from lift B failure and urgent repair – lift engineer to be commissioned to assess all lifts.
  • Surveyor to be hired to determine source of damp patches in corridor A/B

Next meeting 13th June 2017 19:30
