Gym Bunny Mess Up

Greetings to all the gym bunnies out there.

Just a quick note to remind everyone that you need to be considerate to other gym users whilst getting that beach body ready.  So, could any of the gym-bunnies that use the weights please put them on the rack after use and remove them from the mats so that the next user doesn’t have to start by tidying up (see example below).

We know you’re all fired up from pumping iron but if you could build into your cool-down routine a bit of weights stacking it would be greatly appreciated. And don’t forget to lock the door when you leave!

By the way, we haven’t forgotten about installing windows in the gym.  That project (funded from the reserve fund) has been re-started and this will now incorporate the removal of the end partition wall (in order to create a little more space) and include a re-decoration.

We have also started providing wipes so that you can clean the equipment and your hands whenever you need to and there is now a comments book on the table outside so that you can feedback your thoughts.

Last call on windows survey

In the middle of March you were written to regarding the proposed project to renew the windows at Regatta Point.  The letter included a table of estimated costs to you that would be in addition to your normal service charges and asked for a survey to be completed by the end of March.  However, although we have already had  many replies, we want as many people as possible to take the opportunity to respond.  Therefore, the deadline has been extended until the end of Monday the 11th of April.

Please, if you have not already completed the survey, do so now and return it to Oscar, our caretaker or email to caretaker@regattapoint.co.uk

If you’ve lost it – here is the form Windows survey

You feedback matters greatly to us.

Stopcock Keys

Dear Resident,

You should be aware that work has been carried out recently to fire proof susceptible areas of Regatta Point.  As part of that work, a new access panel has been installed for your water stopcock – this is located in the corridor outside your flat.  These have now been badged up with a small sign saying “stopcock” – because several residents had asked where their stopcocks were as their landlord/previous owner had not informed them.

You will need a key in order to unlock the panel and gain access to the stopcock.  The key can now be collected from our Caretaker, Oscar, during his normal working hours.

Please collect your key and keep it somewhere safe.

Party Planning

One of the best things that happens at Regatta Point is the annual BBQ where all residents and friends have the chance to meet up for a proper chat instead of rushing by in the corridor as per usual.  We decorate the hallway, set up BBQs on the pier for everyone to use and get the party music blaring.

However, parties don’t organise themselves so there’s a kick-off meeting next week in order to agree ideas etc. – and no doubt, down a few drinks.  So, if you are interested please email social@regattapoint.co.uk to find out more.

It’s a great way to meet people and you will be made very welcome.

Lobbying for Change

You may have noticed that the lobby at is looking a little bare and deranged at the moment.  This is because we are refreshing the look after many years of having the same styling.

As a consequence, we have sold off the existing furniture (people actually paid to take the stuff away) and have new chairs and a coffee table on order.  The new console tables are in place, and we intend to buy a couple of new bay trees to match the existing ones on the pier.

As this is an improvement scheme the costs are coming out of the reserve fund.

If you have any ideas for improving the appearance of Regatta Point please let us know at directors@regattapoint.co.uk we’d love to hear from you.
