Unfortunately Mark is unwell and will be off until at least the 30th July. In the meantime we welcome back Herman as his temporary replacement. His hours are 08:00 to 13:00.
With the summer finally here, the BBQ season is also here. We have two BBQ’s available for Residents use. (Both need you to provide your own coals and clean the BBQ after use).
In order to book them please speak to the Caretaker and check their availability. If available, you will need to arrange with the caretaker to get them from their store cupboard prior to the caretaker going home. Please note currently that is 1pm every day. Should you book BBQ’s for the weekend please ensure that you get the BBQ on the Friday.
If you’re using one or both on the Saturday, please clean the next morning when the coals are cold, so that they can still be available for use on the Sunday by others. The caretaker will put them away on Monday (or the next working day) .
Please ensure that you do clean up the gardens after use and put any food waste in the bins in the recycling rooms. Do not leave in the garden or the garden bins as that attracts animals.
Finally, a reminder that the use of any sort of barbecue on the buildings wooden balconies is strictly forbidden.
On Monday 24th June SSE are due to attend to replace the meters to the Landlords electrical supplies. There are 4 of these, one for each block, and they will be replaced in turn. Each will take, we are told, about 40 minutes.
This means the power to each blocks common parts will be interrupted, affecting at various times the lifts, car park gates, common parts lighting, the entryphone system and the fire alarm system (it will start bleeping). Unfortunately we can’t be specific about what. time each block will be affected, but assuming that they actually turn up the work is due to start at 08:00.
The power to individual flats will not be affected.
